Liam Gallagher names new band Beady Eye

Pretty Green founder Liam Gallagher has named his new band Beady Eye, it has been reported by the BBC.

The singer has teamed up with former bandmates Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock to record new material.

Speaking earlier this month at the Cannes Film Festival, Gallagher announced his band would record the entire soundtrack to a film he is making about The Beatles. Read about the film here.

The newly formed band are now in the studio working with producer Steve Lillywhite, famed for his work with U2.

well, now Oasis it's a part from the past. But are you sure that you want to name the band Beady Eye? it's no the same but Oasis it's a great name with a great mean. I only can say that i will follow Beady eye because i love Oasis and Liam, I can't wait to hear some songs... Good luck!

I reckon they should've just gone for pretty green, and kill two birds with one stone. they get a name and they've got band merchandise already produced, not sure about the ring of beady eye, I'm sure it'll grow on me though.
