On Tour: Pretty Green Brighton
15 Sep 2014
Taking a wander down the historic Lanes Shopping Quarter is a must when visiting Brighton. Here you’ll find quirky independent shops and eateries amongst a maze of alleyways. Whether you’re splashing the cash, soaking up the local street entertainment or simply taking a lazy stroll down the seafront, you’re sure to enjoy this unique little shopping haven.
Located only a short distance from the station and seafront, our Brighton store stands out with its distinctive 12 colour paisley displayed in the window. The store opened back in March 2012 and has recently had a little revamp.
We had a quick chat with the store manager, Oliver, and asked him to select his favourite AW'14 piece.
Is there anything unique about your store?
We have a big print down the wall of Liam stood on Brighton beach which was taken from our first ever photo shoot. It gives our store a real seaside feel especially when the shop is only 100 metres to the beach.
Favourite piece of PG you've ever purchased?
I took the black velvet peacoat and white clapton shirt from the AW13 collection. The shirt is very smart and the coat is sexy.
Favourite current piece and why? How would style it?
The LS cord western shirt, its Vintage-esque style and its true homage to 1972 makes it an important shirt this autumn, wear this with lots of accessories, maybe a necklace and a trilby. Have it slung open with a plain tee shirt, or buttoned up smart under your best leather jacket!
Any events or gigs coming up?
Nothing planned at the moment but Brighton held a big event recently for the the Brighton Weekender. There's always a massive turn out where the mod scene all arrive on their scooters and the streets are buzzing. It's a great experience for those who've not been before, definitely worth making a note in your diaries for next year’s August bank holiday weekend.
