At this seasons Spring Summer ‘17 London Collections:Men on Saturday 11th June we hosted an exclusive ‘Best Of British’ event at London’s Hoxton Hotel, Holborn.
The presentation included a display of our Spring Summer ’17 Black Label collections and the unveiling of two exciting collaborations: the Pretty Green X John Smedley knitwear collection and the Pretty Green X Christy’s Hats collection.
The Spring Summer ’17 Black Label collection features statement pieces symbolic of the psychedelic ‘60s, blended with classic British style references. All outerwear and tailoring within the collection are crafted with British fabric mills including Abraham Moons and William Halstead.
The typically British “houndstooth” check is featured in woven wool and has also been handpainted in-house and developed into a unique print on our silk shirts.
The bold prints that Pretty Green are known for are also central to the collection. Our signature paisley has been re-coloured to match the seasonal palette, alongside a floral dot Liberty print and striking woven geometric pattern.
The collection is influenced by the combination of “sharp mod” and “psychedelic ‘60s” styling, most famously adopted by British musician Brian Jones. Print clashes are offset with modern silhouettes and a muted colour palette of greys, creams with a highlight of inca gold.
Guests at the event enjoyed drinks courtesy of Burleighs Gin and tunes from Soho Radio’s Simone Marie and Eddie Piller broadcasting live from the event venue.
The SS17 Black Label collection featuring our two collaborations will be available next January.
