Pretty Green's Gig Guide 2024 | Part 2
5 Sep 2024
Fontaines DC
20th November - 6th December
Fontaines DC really need no introduction here. We’ve barely stopped listening to their acclaimed fourth album ‘Romance’, a record that saw the Irish four-piece continue their transformation from scrappy post-punkers to one of the most widely loved rock bands of the past few years. They’ll be touring the UK in support of ‘Romance’ this November til early December. Tickets are already running pretty sparse, so snap yours up now while you still can. If you did miss a date near you, they’ll be headlining Finsbury Park next year.
Wunderhorse
3rd - 20th October
Hot off the release of their second album ‘Midas’, Wunderhorse tour the UK and Ireland this October for some of their biggest shows yet. Their latest album is a favourite of ours here at PG, with its visceral, emotional rock’n’roll songwriting that doesn’t need any frills, bells or whistles to make a point. Not a band you should miss live.
Divorce
25th September - 23rd October
Alt-country trailblazers Divorce kick off a huge UK tour at the end of September, starting with a 4 night residency in their hometown at Bodega, Nottingham. Having signed with EMI imprint Gravity Records for last year’s EP ‘Heady Metal’, and a series of incredible singles like the grand ‘My Room’ since then, we’ve got high hopes that an album is just round the corner.
Master Peace
8th October - 12th December
We caught up with Ivors-award winning, rising indie rocker Master Peace a few months ago to chat about his career trajectory, and it’s only been further uphill since then, with Glasto appearance alongside The Streets, a support slot with Kasabian and a collab with Santigold already under his belt since then. Peace is touring the UK this winter, and we can’t wait to see what other surprises he’s got up his sleeve.
Amyl and the Sniffers
5th - 15th November
AOur favourite Aussie punks will be taking to The Roundhouse, London for 3 nights from 13-15th November. They’ve got a much-deserved reputation for electrified, high-octane live shows, so there’s no doubt that these performances are going to be stonkers. As it stands, only the 14th still has tickets remaining, so we highly recommend you get yours as soon as you can.
The Dream Machine
4th October - 8th November
Rising psych-rockers The Dream Machine are touring the UK this autumn. You may recognise them as the stars of our recent PG Live Manchester instore, where they performed a stripped back set and were interviewed by the legendary Clint Boon. Catch them on this tour before they take off - it won’t be long before they do.
Maruja
18th September - 19th December
Manchester based four-piece Maruja have just released ‘The Vault’, a collection of jams from 2021-2023. It’s a fascinating insight into the raw creative process of one of our favourite new bands. We very strongly recommend that you grab tickets for their wild EU and UK tour that spans from autumn through to winter - their unhinged blend of punk and jazz makes for a hell of a live show that you’d be foolish to miss.
